But when I started testing them, I quickly realized that these two pumps are quite different in what they have to offer. The Momcozy V1 Pro is all about customization and extended sessions, while the Momcozy V2 Pro prioritizes simplicity and portability.

Pump Design
Both the Momcozy V1 Pro and V2 Pro are portable breast pump that have the pump motor attached to the collection cups via tubing.
Whilst I’ll admit this design is not for everyone, as some prefer the all in one wearable breast pump design, the separate pump and collection cups have the advantage of being more lightweight.
In terms of the collection cups, both the V1 Pro and V2 Pro have the same lightweight tear-drop-shaped collection cups that are designed for a natural fit inside your bra. Each collection cup for weighs just 120grams per cup. These cups hold up to 7oz of milk. Best yet, these collection containers only have three parts, so they are nice and easy to clean.
Collection cups aside, the only real design difference between the Momcozy V1 Pro and Momcozy V2 pro is the size of the pump motor. The V1 Pro’s pump motor is a circular shape, and whilst it is lightweight and easily portable, it is larger and heavier than the ultra-light V2 Pro pump motor that weighs just 127 grams.
Both pumps come with a handy lanyard for carrying the pump motor, but the Momcozy V2 Pro also includes a clip on the back. I love the clip as it makes it really easy to attach to your clothing or bag for easy portability.

Flange Design
When it comes to flange design, the Momcozy V1 Pro and V2 Pro are identical, both featuring Momcozy’s innovative DoubleFit™ flanges.
These flanges combine hard and soft silicone to deliver a balance of comfort and stability. The hard silicone provides a secure, click-in-place connection to the collection cup, ensuring a reliable seal that minimizes spills and suction loss which is something I really love as it helps to prevent spills and maintain suction for a better output.
Meanwhile, the soft silicone component creates a gentle, cushioned fit around the breast, adding comfort and reducing leaks during pumping.
Both pumps come with a standard 24mm flange as well as 17mm, 19mm, and 21mm flange inserts.

Pumping Modes and Suction Levels
Now performance is where the big difference is between the Momcozy V1 Pro and V2 Pro.
While both pumps deliver hospital-grade suction strength, the Momcozy V1 Pro delivers slightly more power with a suction capability of up to 300mmHg, whereas the V2 Pro offers up to 288mmHg. For me, the difference here is pretty minimal, and I class these both as powerful portable breast pumps.
When it comes to customization however, the V1 Pro takes the lead with 15 suction levels and three adjustable pumping rhythm cycles, allowing you to fine-tune your pumping experience to suit your comfort and milk flow needs. On the other hand, the V2 Pro offers a more simplified experience with 9 suction levels and no customizable rhythm options.
Another key distinction is the pumping session duration. The V1 Pro features an adjustable timer ranging from 5 to 40 minutes, while the V2 Pro has an automatic 30-minute shut-off with no timer adjustments. This makes the V1 Pro a better choice for moms who prefer longer or more tailored pumping sessions.
I will add though, both pumps feature 3 pumping modes: stimulation, expression, and mixed modes and can be used as either single or double pumps, giving you the flexibility to adapt to your pumping needs.
While I think both deliver strong performance and efficiency, the V1 Pro is the real winner here for me as it gives you more control, higher customization, and slightly stronger suction. I still think the V2 Pro has its place and is ideal for moms looking for simplicity and streamlined functionality.

Battery Life and Charging
Another big difference between the Momcozy V1 Pro and V2 Pro is the battery life.
The Momcozy V1 Pro offers an impressive 270 minutes of battery life per charge, making it one of the most long-lasting wearable pumps I’ve reviewed. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to fully recharge.
The V2 Pro, on the other hand, has a shorter battery life of 180 minutes and fully recharges in just 2 hours. Now I think 180 minutes is still fantastic for a wearable breast pump, especially when you compare it to other similar designed pumps like the Medela Freestyle that only has a battery life of 120-mins off a single charge.
But, for me, the battery life of the Momcozy V1 Pro is the clear winner. However, for those who prioritize compactness and faster charging, the V2 Pro may be a better fit.
LED Screen
Both the Momcozy V1 Pro and V2 Pro come with LED screens, however the LED screen on the Momcozy V1 Pro is larger and displays a bit more information.
Most notable is the difference with the timer display. As I mentioned before, the V1 Pro comes with an adjustable countdown timer. This is displayed in minutes and seconds so you can easily see where you are at with your session. The V2 Pro also has an inbuilt timer, but it counts up and only displays the minutes once you have past the first 60 seconds.
Noise Levels
When it comes to noise levels, I consider the Momcozy V1 Pro and Momcozy V2 Pro pretty quiet. The V2 Pro is slightly quieter at just 45dB vs the V1 Pro that has a noise level of 48dB.
Price and Value for Money
I’ll be honest, I was quite surprised that both these breast pumps are marketed at the same price.
Given the additional functionality of the V1 Pro with the additional battery life, adjustable cycles, 15 suction levels, and adjustable timer I would have thought it would be more expensive than the V2 Pro, but it’s not.
That said, I do think there is value in the smaller pump motor and extra portability it provides.
I also think both pumps offer a ton of value especially when you consider there are other pumps brands offering similar features for a much higher price like the Elvie Pump.

The Verdict
For me, I think it is hard to go past the additional features of the Momcozy V1 Pro, especially given it is the same price. Whilst the pump motor is larger than the Momcozy V2, I don’t feel it is that much of a difference to pass up the functionality of the Momcozy V1 Pro.
That said, choosing a breast pump is definitely a personal choice. So here are my recommendations.
Choose the V1 Pro if:
- You want more suction levels and custom pumping cycles.
