Similarities and Differences
The Momcozy Mobile Style M6 and Mobile Flow M9 are quiet different from other pumps in the Momcozy range such as the M5 and S12 Pro.
They feature some advanced designs and features that you don’t see with the other Momcozy pumps.
But what makes these two pumps so different? And how are they different from each other?
Let’s take a look, with my Momcozy Mobile Style vs Mobile Flow comparison!

Pump Design
On the surface both the Momcozy Mobile Style M6 and the Momcozy Mobile Flow M9 look very similar. They both are wearable, all-in-one, and utilize a teardrop design, but that’s where the similarities in the design stop.
The M6 has a very simple design with minimal components, in fact there are just 5 different parts that make up the pump. It is very simple to put together and use.
In contrast, the M9 is a lot more complex. It has multiple components, which I feel is a big downside to this pump as it makes it more prone to loss of suction and leaks as these parts wear or if they are not properly in place.
The M9 Is also slightly smaller than the M6.
And the biggest difference in their design, is the ability to operate the M9 by the Momcozy mobile app. This is a unique feature to the Mobile Flow M9 and one that I hope they integrate with future pumps as it makes tracking your pumping sessions so much easier. I love that it also adds another level of discretion to your pumping session as you can simply turn on, pause, adjust, and turn off your pump from your phone without the need to even touch your pump.

Flange Design
I love that both of these pumps come with the Momcozy DoubleFit™ flange! This cushioned breast shield design provides a secure and snug fit around the breast during pumping, which not only supports the breast but also helps create a secure vacuum for maximum efficiency.
I should point out that the cushioned section of the flange on the M9 is much larger than the M6. It is also white rather than clear, but I don’t think really makes much of a difference.
Included with both pumps is a default flange size of 24mm as well as 3 different flange insert sizes (17mm, 19mm, and 21mm) for those needing a smaller fit. I love that Momcozy also helps to make finding your correct flange size easy with their nipple size chart.

Pumping Modes And Suction Levels
The Momcozy M6 and M9 breast pumps share several similarities with their modes and suction levels.
Both pumps feature a power suction capability. The M6 up to 295mmHg and the M9 up to 300mmHg.
When operating the pumps manually, both pumps feature 3 modes: stimulation, expression, and mixed. These modes cater to different phases of pumping and milk expression, allowing users to adapt their pumping sessions to their specific needs.
However, this is where the M9 and its app have the distinct advantage. Within the app there are two additional professional modes called Milk Relief and Milk Boost. But what I love even more is that you can create and save your own pumping rhythms! This really does give you fantastic control and versatility over your pumping session.
To add to an already impressive feature with the modes, the M9 boasts up to 15 suction levels versus just the 9 suction levels available with the M6. Again, giving you greater control over your pumping sessions.
This really is where the M9 shines!
Collection Cups
I mentioned previously that the M9 was a lot more complex in design and I believe one of the main reasons for this is so it can include the ability to of using the milk collector to store breastmilk independently.
Whilst the milk collector on the M9 is smaller, at just 5oz vs the 6oz of the M6, it comes with a silicone lid! This means that you can store your milk directly in the container without the need to transfer it to another storage container or bag.
I think this is a big plus for those that are pumping on the go or at work as you don’t need to fuss about transferring your milk. The M9 also comes with a total of 4 collection containers.

Battery Life and Charging
Depending how you plan to use your pump, battery life and charging capabilities are a big consideration.
For me, winner here the Momcozy M6 Mobile Style.
It comes with an impressive 180-minute battery life in contrast, the M9 which has a 150-minute battery life.
Don’t get me wrong, both are great in terms of battery life, but the extra 30 minutes run time from the M6 is very nice!
Both pumps are charged via USB and take 1.5hours to reach full charge.
LED Screen
Both pumps have a very similar LED screen.
With both pumps you can see your battery life, modes, suction levels, as well as both come with an in-built timer. And both come with a great backlight for easy viewing during night pumping sessions. This backlight also turns off after 45 seconds of no use for added discretion.

Portability
I’ve already mentioned that both these pumps are wearable and the differences with the battery life which are two big factors in portability.
And I’ve mentioned the ability to store milk directly in the collection container with the M9, which is another plus for portability.
In addition to these, what I do love about both these pumps is that they come with the inclusion of a hard-shell carry case! It not only do these cases look great but it makes for easy transportation and protection for the pumps, making it an ideal companion for on-the-go mothers.
The M6 and M9 also come with handy flange covers to help protect pump whilst pumping on the go.

Noise Levels
There is very little difference when it comes to the noise levels of the M6 vs M9.
The M6 operates quietly at under 50dB, whilst the M9 has noise levels under 48dB. Both pumps maintain a level of discretion suitable for most environments.
Price And Value For Money
With the addition of the mobile app and advance features such as milk storage and increased suction levels, you won’t be surprised to learn that the Momcozy M9 is more expensive than the Momcozy M6.
Overall, I think both of these pumps offer a ton of value, especially when you consider all their features and inclusions that they come with such as additional flange inserts and the hard-shell carry case.
The Verdict
In my opinion, I think both the Momcozy M6 and M9 breast pumps are great options for a wearable breast pump. While each pump offers a range of benefits, features, and innovations, the final decision should really come down to what best suits your individual needs.
Personally, I love the fact that the M9 comes with a mobile app that comes with 2 additional professional modes and the ability to track your pumping sessions. I am also a big fan of the ability to create your own pumping rhythms, which is especially handy if you’re wanting to power pump. But, the M9 does have its downfalls with all the complex design which means more cleaning and risk of suction loss and spills with wear and tear.
The simple design of the M6 is definitely appealing! And it certainly shines with its long battery life.
Ultimately for me, which pump to choose will come down to whether or not you will use the mobile app and the additional features it offers.
If having the mobile app is a priority for you, then the Momcozy M9 is the Momcozy pump for you. If not, then I recommend saving some money and opting for the convenience of the Momcozy M6.
