My MomMed S10 Pro Review

Here’s the challenge: discovering a breast pump that offers comfort and convenience without breaking the bank can be tough. I’ve tried numerous breast pumps, and there’s usually a trade-off between comfort, suction, portability, and ease of use.

So, does the MomMed S10 Pro wearable breast pump offer everything you need?

Let’s take a closer look.

What I love About The MomMed S10

I really do think there is lots to love when it comes to the MomMed S10 Pro.

For me some of the standout features include its 230ml/8oz capacity. This makes it ideal for mothers with an oversupply of breast milk as this large capacity means that you can pump more milk without the need to empty your collection container.

It also comes with 9 adjustable suction levels and 3 modes (Stimulation/Expression/Auto), allowing you to customize your pumping experience according to your comfort and milk flow needs. These are all operated from an easy to use LED screen.

In terms of suction the S10 Pro offers has a powerful suction strength of 280mmHg, which is strong enough to effectively express breast milk while still being gentle on the breasts.

When it comes to portability (which is one of the biggest factors when choosing a hands free pump) I love that it has a really decent battery life of around 180 minutes or 6-8 pumping sessions. For me, this long battery life means that you can pump on the go without worrying about running out of power.

Best yet, this is a really affordable wearable breast pump. And to sweeten the deal, the MomMed S10 Pro breast pump comes with a huge range of accessories, including breast milk storage bags, nipple sizing chart, spare parts, pump storage bags, bra adjustment buckles, cleaning brushes, and more.

That’s not all that is on offer though, so let’s take a look at some of the other key features of the S10 pump.

Performance and Efficiency

The MomMed S10 Pro breast pump reaches up to 280mmHg suction strength, making it easy to customize the intensity to suit my milk flow needs and comfort level. I think this adaptability helps reduce pumping sessions and maximize milk yield.

The pump offers three modes to suit different stages of the pumping process: stimulation, expression, and auto.

Whilst the stimulation and expression mode are what you’d expect as a minimum with any breast pump, it is really nice to see the inclusion of the auto mode. This auto mode lets you just set your pump up and then get on with your activities without the need to change settings.

I love that the pump also comes with nine adjustable suction levels, that allows for tailored control of your pumping session. For me, this control over suction is essential for comfort and effective milk production.

The pump comes with a default 27mm silicone breast shield which is amazing for those moms with larger nipple sizes! I do love that it also comes with 24mm flange inserts which are more of a standard sizing. Additional sizes can be purchased separately.

The nipple size chart is also really useful for finding the most suitable fit for comfortable and effective pumping.

Design

The MomMed S10 Pro has the pump motor that sits on top of the collection cup rather than the more discreet all-in-one design. This design means that you will have the pump motor visible from the top of your pumping bra. That said, the MomMed S10 Pro is fully portable, with no tubing, which I think still makes it a discreet and convenient option.

While wearable pumps can sometimes be a bit bulky, the S10 Pro is on par with other similar models on the market. Plus, it features a very spacious 8oz collection container, which is perfect for moms with an abundant milk supply or those who want to engage in power pumping.

I don’t feel like the extra storage capacity adds any noticeable bulk to the pump.

Comfort

To be honest, the breast shield and flange sizing options on the MomMed S10 Pro aren’t particularly exciting.

The pump uses a standard single-sealed design that provides a comfortable fit, but it is pretty standard.

However, the 27mm breast shield is a nice touch for moms with larger nipples. The pump comes with a 24mm flange insert, which covers a common size, though you may need to purchase additional flange sizes separately. Given all the inclusions with this pump, it would have been nice to see additional flange insert sizes.

Noise Levels

I found the MomMed S10 Pro breast pump to be very quiet during operation, emitting only 45dB of noise. This is actually very impressive! While not completely silent, it is one of the quietest budget breast pumps I have tested.

In a quiet office setting, you may hear the pump working, but with a little bit of background noise, it is quiet enough to ensure a discreet and inconspicuous pumping experience.

The noise levels are more than suitable for both home and public use, making it a great option for those looking for a quiet breast pump.

User-Friendliness

When it comes to user-friendliness, I like to focus on how easy the pump is to use and how straightforward it is to clean.

In terms of ease of use, the MomMed S10 Pro stands out. One of the best features is the customizable auto shut-off option, which you can set by pressing the plus and minus buttons together.

It also features a clear LED display that provides intuitive information for easy navigation through different pumping modes and adjustment of suction levels. The screen stays on throughout the pumping session, which may impact discreetness and could be less desirable for late-night pumping.

The pump offers customizable pumping settings, including nine adjustable suction levels and three pumping modes (Stimulation, Expression, and Auto), allowing you to tailor your experience for comfort and efficiency. The four-button control layout is simple and user-friendly.

A notable advantage is the built-in timer, which helps you track your pumping sessions without needing an external tracker.

In terms of cleaning, the S10 Pro excels with its straightforward assembly and disassembly. It consists of only six parts, making the process easy and efficient. It’s a closed system, adding an extra layer of hygiene.

Portability

As a mom, I know how essential it is to have a breast pump that’s easy to carry around. The MomMed S10 Pro is lightweight and compact, making it perfect for on-the-go pumping. It’s battery-operated, so you can pump anywhere without needing an outlet, and the two included velvet protection bags make it easy to carry the pump in your handbag.

The pump boasts an impressive battery life, lasting up to 180 minutes on a single charge, which means you can pump multiple times before recharging. It uses USB-C charging, which is quick and convenient – reaching a full charge in just 2.5 hours.

An auto shut-off feature turns the pump off after 30 minutes, helping conserve battery life and providing peace of mind.

Value For Money

So, do I think the MomMed S10 Pro worth considering? Absolutely, but your choice depends on a few factors.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, wearable breast pump that offers customizable suction levels, the S10 Pro is a strong contender. It’s perfect for occasional pumpers, part-time pumpers, or even those seeking a secondary, hands-free option.

One of its standout features is the impressive battery life, which lasts up to 180 minutes (6-8 pumping sessions). This makes it ideal for busy moms who need to pump on the move without access to an outlet.

I also love that the pump comes with a 27mm flange size and extra large storage capacity which makes it more flexible for moms that need more than just the standard sizing.

The pump comes with a variety of accessories, such as 24mm flange inserts and replacement valves and diaphragms, making it even more cost effective. Plus, the lifetime warranty when you buy from Amazon provides peace of mind and protects your investment.

While the S10 Pro may not have all the high-end features of more expensive brands, it still delivers excellent value for the price. It offers strong suction and ease of use, but you might need to compromise on some premium features like a tracking app. Nonetheless, you can always use an external tracking app if needed.

What I Wish Was Different

No breast pump is perfect, and every mom has unique needs. However, there are a few areas where the MomMed S10 Pro could be improved.

Whilst the 27mm standard flange/breast shield is great for those with larger nipples, I feel for a majority of pumping mothers this will be much too large requiring you to use a flange insert. Whilst I have no issues with flange inserts, it does mean extra cleaning and maintenance. I do like that MomMed includes a very handy nipple sizing chart and additional 24mm flange insert sizes in their kit, but if you have smaller nipples you will need to purchase additional flange inserts to get started.

Another small change I’d like to see is the ability to turn off the LED light during pumping sessions. While the light isn’t too bright, it might compromise discretion in certain scenarios.

The Verdict

The MomMed S10 Pro is a great option for moms looking for an affordable and efficient wearable breast pump.

It offers customizable pumping settings, a generous 8 oz container capacity, and an impressive battery life of up to 180 minutes on a single charge, making it perfect for busy moms on the go.

Its range of accessories adds convenience for new moms starting their pumping journey.
